YOUNGSTERS have attended a variety of workshops as part of a summit held by Bexley’s Children’s Parliament.
Around 130 young people from 18 different schools in Bexley attended the event at Bexley Council’s civic offices in Broadway, Bexleyheath.
Bexley Children's Parliament is made up of children aged five to 13 who attend a Bexley school or live in the borough.
They meet with council officers and feedback issues on behalf of young people in the borough The children attended sessions on basic first aid, cyber safety, school transitions, animal care, healthy eating and Zumba fitness.
In total 15 new members were elected to the parliament.
They will now attend meetings every fortnight and discuss issues that are of concern to youngsters and look at ways of taking them forward.
