Crowds choose festival over football
THERE was a bumper attendance at this year’s Danson Festival, despite competition from a certain nail-biting football match.
The two-day annual festival held in Danson Park, Welling, boasted a host of attractions for everyone, from pop star Peter Andre on the music stage to charity dragon boat racing on the lake.
Festival-goers basked in hot sunshine enjoying a variety of musical and dance entertainment to suit all tastes. Culture, sport, youth, environment, gardening, arts and crafts, classic cars and a funfair were among the fun on offer.
