Club raises funds through football

A JUNIOR football club has raised £500 by staging a fundraising tournament.
More than 200 people attended Hexley Rangers' football tournament held at Downsview School, Beech Avenue, Swanley.
The money raised from the September 10 event will be spent on the teams, which range from the under-8s to the under-13s.
Club secretary Carol Thomas said: "The money will be used for all the children at the club and, if we can afford it, a Christmas party.
"We all had a fantastic time and the weather was excellent.
"It went really well and we are grateful to all those who came."
