GRAVESEND: Mum ecstatic with new home in housing development

A MUM says she is “absolutely ecstatic” after moving into a new housing development with her children.

Along with her two sons, Lorraine Reed has moved into a three-bedroom house on the new Mastin Mews development off Suffolk Road in Gravesend.

Comprising of 16 houses, Mastin Mews was built by developer Affinity Sutton and is part of Gravesham Council's efforts to provide affordable housing for rent.

Ms Reed, 35, was one of the first residents to pick up their keys from the council’s lead member for housing Councillor Anthony Pritchard earlier this month.

She said: “It’s brilliant I have been able to move to such a lovely, peaceful area. The home is spacious and both my sons are able to have their own rooms. I am over the moon.”
