SINGING, dancing and music playing students showed they have the X-Factor at a school talent show.
Hextable School in Egerton Avenue held its own version of the X-Factor, the Hex-Factor, with five finalists competing for the prize of recording their song or dance in a professional studio.
A crowd of more than 400 packed into the school to watch the young stars perform, and 15-year-old singer Tom Johnston was voted the winner by the panel of judges from the music industry.
Speaking after the show at the end of last month, assistant headteacher Tina Collins said: “We are very proud to be able to teach such talented young people.
“Performing Arts is our specialism, and we endeavour to offer the students every opportunity to enable them to be successful in their chosen career path.”
