THOUSANDS of people enjoyed a seven day festival of music, dance, art, food and sport.
Gravesham Council’s Big 7 festival ran from last Sunday (June 28) to Saturday (July 4), with dozens of events across the borough attended by a total of more than 20,000 people.
It included a showcase of local talent with the Big Gig concert in Gravesend town centre’s Riverside Leisure Area on Friday and climaxed with the Big Day Out in Gordon Gardens the following day.
The Big Day out featured performances from five musical acts, including a Take That tribute group, as well as a fun fair and fireworks display.
Council deputy leader and cabinet member for communities Councillor David Turner said: “The Big Day Out went off with a bang thanks to our fantastic main stage acts and firework finale.”
