SMOKERS are being reminded not to light-up in a primary care trust's buildings or grounds.
West Kent Primary Care Trust (PCT) put in place its Workplace Smoking Policy on January 1.
It prevents visitors from smoking in or around any of its buildings across Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley.
The ban also applies to its own vehicles and those parked on its premises.
Signs have now been put up and anyone caught smoking will be given a warning rather than a fine.
A PCT spokesman said: "We are not concerned with whether people smoke, just where they smoke and the effect this has on staff and service users."
For further information and advice about quitting smoking, call the PCT's Stop Smoking Service on 01474 360546.
