Unwanted goods are cash in the bag for school pupils

A SCHOOL which has been collecting unwanted clothes and toys will now receive £285 for their efforts.

Our Lady's Catholic Primary School, King Edward Avenue, Dartford, took part in Bag2School, a scheme which pays schools for goods collected in bags.

The items are then sold to wholesalers in Russia, Latvia and Lithuania.

A secure lock-up has been available at the school for donations to be deposited since last summer.

In total, 100 sacks were collected by the school.

Children also lent a hand loading the sacks on to the Bag2School lorry.
