A GYMNASTICS club catering for people with special needs has produced a candidate for the Special Olympics World Games.
Flex, a gymnastics club based at Dartford Girls Grammar School, Shepherds Lane, Dartford, has been running for six years.
Sarah Greenwood, of Istead Rise and a pupil at the Milestone School, New Ash Green, has been attending the club for five years and has been selected to take part in the Games in China next year.
The 16-year-old, who has a learning disability, is one of just eight people from the UK chosen and will travel to Shanghai next October.
Trainer Paul Wood said: "It's great to be able to give the children the opportunity to take part. I'm proud of Sarah. She makes sure she puts the effort in."
To contribute towards Sarah's trip to China, as no government funding is available, call Mr Wood on 020 8302 7750.
