THAMESMEAD is featured in the latest video by British band The Kaiser Chiefs.

The Leeds-based band visited SE28 to film the video of Never Miss a Beat which features backing vocals from Lily Allen and the New York Pony Club.

It is the first track to be taken from their Mark Ronson-produced, third album Off With Their Heads.

Click here to watch the video and look out for landmarks like Harrow Manor Way, The cAve - Thamesmead's indoor climbing wall, Tavy Bridge, Binsey Walk, Southmere Lake and the Barge Pole pub.

The cAve's instructor Gemma Gould said: "The director was impressed with The cAve and said he may return to film a music video here."

Kaiser Chief's aren't the only people to film in Thamesmead - in 1971: The film director Stanley Kubrick chose Thamesmead as the location for his film Clockwork Orange'.

Couldanything have been more disastrous for the area's long-term reputation?
