Spare a thought for the poor chap who was hurt and his family.
Also, maybe a lot of the residents of Thamesmead are undesirable please do not tar us all with the same brush. I would like to move but although a professional, senior nurse I can not affors to at the moment.
I am not the only person in my situation who lives in the area

Lynne, please allow Your Lord to correct you.

Almost ALL the residents of Thamesmead are undesirable.

To person who calls himself Erastus Piggot. Although Thamesmead is not top of the most desirable places to live, there are many residents who are decent and hard working people (albeit there are residents who are also undesirable). It is always the bad element that lets down the area. Any area you live or work in has the "bad apples". Only a few weeks ago in Bexley Village a group of men were fighting outside the Ferrari's restaurant. How you can judge people based purely on where they live is not only disrespectable but actually shows everyone the type of person you are: full of self-importance (although you mainly come across as arrogant), obnoxious and obviously materialistic (in that you allow yourself to be affected by where people live).

Sophia, if you are intent on verbally attacking Your Lord, I suggest you spell my name correctly; Piggott not 'Piggot'.

I like the way that you have stated your location as Bexley.

I presume you are from Erith in the borough of Bexley.

Having said all that, your comments are bland, predictable and without substance.

Pink Kitten, if you read my post properly I was the first person who actually acknowledged the fact that this story is about someone's misfortune and not about having a go about the residents of Thamesmead. If people who live in Thamesmead want to complain that is one thing, if you don't - butt out, you would not like it if where ever you live (London is a rather vague address)got slatted by folk who live elsewhere.

Have any of you, who are arguing about the comments, even thought that this is a tragedy which has occurred and that someone has actually been killed. I dont think that anyone realises he was fataly stabbed. Maybe because the report just states that he was stabbed.

It has no relevance and people are not interested in your so called sob story. People who live in Thamesmead choose to live in Thamesmead if you do not like it stop moaning and do something about it. Actually Pink Kitten the only time you and his so called lordship ever post it is to slag off other people so I think you need to take your own advice. No where does it say anyone died it says stabbed.
In any case I do not have a "sob story" merely stating a fact. If I was that desparate to leave I would. Hardly weak, you do not know me but you say soemthing like that!! It says it all.

Pink Kitten, not everyone has a choice on where to live! My husband and I can't afford to buy so we are renting and the first place that we were offered was Woolwich, so we held out and we were offered a nice flat in Thamesmead. It may not be a great area, but where we live is nice and the residents are friendly and polite. If someone in the area was stabbed or attacked we come together and not criticise others about the area they live in.

Would it also disgust you to know that I work for the government dealing with what you would call the low life people that live in Thamesmead! I help them in my job and they don't need people like you talking about them and putting them down.

You go on about the gentleman that got stabbed but you are first to attack people that veer off the story due to your friend piggoat or whatever his name is.

My thoughts go out to the family of the man that got stabbed.

I have to say I am usually the eyes and ears around these parts and I have hardly heard a word about this incident which usually means no body died and he knew his attackers so it will be dealt with accordingly so no more will be heard.

Just for the record I work and pay my own rent and taxes. Just how many murders have happened here lately???

Cat got your tounge, Kitten??? NONE would be the answer to that, just in case you were wondering. As for SIDCUP, a once well sort after area has had 2 stabbing incidents in just 3 days, so it goes to prove you never know when it's going to turn up on your doorstep. Nobody in any postcode is safe anymore!
