Police are alerting car owners to be on their guard following a spate of thefts targeting the number plates of vehicles in the Borehamwood area. Thieves took the front and back number plates from a silver Ford Fiesta in Beehive Close in Elstree on Monday night. And a front number plate was lifted from a car parked in Arundel Drive, Borehamwood on Friday night. And staff at Edge Grove School in High Cross found plates missing last week from their Ford transit.
