A RETIRED children's health worker who used to work at the Peace Children's Centre in Rickmansworth Road, Watford, has donated and helped to plant a bed of roses for future users of the centre.
Mrs Sue Marshall was head of Children's Occupational Therapy Services from 1994 and involved with the planning of the centre since 1995. When the unit was opened in 2001 Mrs Marshall was based there but has since retired.
When she left she wanted to mark the occasion for friends and colleagues so donated plants and flowers to the centre to brighten the place up.
She said: "I though peace roses would be a wonderful memento and hope that these will flourish and bloom as the centre has done.
"I wanted to leave a lasting memento that people would enjoy that reflected the pleasure I got from working with children and their families."
