HAVE I missed something? You report that Haringey Council's survey of local opinion on the Bounds Green CPZ found 53 per cent in favour and 44 per cent against the proposed parking zone.
However, my recollection of the questionnaire was that the most important question was not put to residents. We were not asked whether we wanted the zone or not.
It seems that our Big Brother council not only knows what we need, but can tell us that black is white, and, more dangerously, seems to believe in its own sleight of hand.
This whole farce of democratic consultation is now being re-enacted in Muswell Hill.
