A car has been driven into a nightclub in Gravesend, according to witnesses.
Footage posted on social media appeared to show a car inside a marquee at the venue, said to be the Blake’s nightclub, as panicked revellers were led to safety by police.
Kent Police have yet to release any details on the incident, although other footage showed police, fire engines and ambulances at the scene.
Witness Sonny Powar said he saw two people get hit by the car before the driver was pulled from the vehicle.
“(A driver) drove his 4×4 into the tent we was all in and ran people over, it stopped at my feet so any further and I could of died then he reversed up and we all ran,” he told the Press Association.
“We ripped the tent wall apart and got out and called the police.
“It was a complete mess of panic and chaos.”
Kent Fire and Rescue Service said they had attended an incident on Queen Street at just after 11.50pm on Saturday.
A spokeswoman said: “We were called…to assist Kent Police at an RTC (road traffic collision).”
