CHILDREN have spent a week learning about the history of travellers.
Horizon Primary School in Hilda May Avenue, Swanley, held the week between September 29 and October 3.
Around 160 children took part in the event which involved story telling, plate painting and cooking traditional food.
The children, aged between four and a half years old and 11 years old, were taught the history of Romany gypsies.
School family liaison officer Francis Bristow, said it was the first time the school had held the event and it decided to hold it as there are a lot of travellers in the area and also in the school.
Ms Bristow also said the children cooked food such as bacon pudding and bread pudding, which their parents ate at a special campfire during the week.
Ed Cottle, Advisory head teacher: "It was a great celebration of the diverse cultural community of the school and shows how successfully and serious we are about fulfilling community expectations."
