Big Dance in Orpington
 |
| Dancers perform to the crowds |
PEOPLE of all ages hit the dance floor to take part in a national event.
A specially constructed marquee was placed outside the Walnuts Leisure Centre in Lynchgate Road, Orpington to host 1,500 dancers and spectators.
It was organised as part of the Big Dance, a Government week-long initiative to get people active.
Events took place across the country to showcase different dance styles.
In Orpington some of the acts included a street dance performance by youngsters and a tap dancing group from Age Concern Bromley.
Orpington Town Centre Management and Bromley Mytime teamed up to host the free event.
Bromley Mytime brand manager Anna Doolan said: "The different types of dance, the music, and the incredible range of talent of our local residents was outstanding.
"We felt very privileged to be part of such an outstanding nationwide event."
