STUDENTS have been learning how to cook quick but healthy wok dishes to feed themselves at home or when they head off to university.
The 16 to 18-year-olds at Blackfen School, in Blackfen Road, were given expert guidance by chef Darren Tinkler from the school's catering company, Scolarest.
With his help, the students created a variety of Mexican and Cantonese dishes in the school kitchens.
The event was part of the company's Putting Fun Back into Food campaign.
This aims to get students excited and interested in good food and healthy eating through cookery demonstrations and classes for parents and students.
Mr Tinkler said: "We think the best way to inspire the students to eat and live healthily is to make doing it exciting."
