Police will not confirm suspect's identity
Jimmy Mizen
Jimmy Mizen

POLICE have dismissed reports that Jimmy Mizen's killer may have fled to Cyprus as "lazy journalism".

And the Met is refusing to confirm that they are looking for a 19-year-old Turkish youth in connection with the killing.

National press and media have today reported that an arrest warrant has been issued for a young Turkish man, known to live in the area near the scene of the murder in Burnt Ash Hill, Lee.

Police refused to comment on claims that they have issued an all ports warning and fear the suspect may have fled the country for northern Cyprus.

A police spokesman dismissed the reports as "speculation" and "lazy journalism".

Anyone remotely involved in this knows it's a 19 year old Turkish lad that's done this, if they confirmed his identity and splashed his photo all over the news then surely the general public can be on the lookout for him, I'm not even a copper and even I can suss that one out!!!! Blimey come back Sherlock Holmes, or should I be saying go away the PC Brigade.

I am astounded by this - I can't think of any reason why a description wouldn't have been released. Does anyone know??

All shops should fit hidden metal type knife detectors in thier entrances to detect knives. All kids should go on self defence courses.
Vil;ent video games should be banned. Im sick of the dissapointing intimidating teenagers spoiling my living existence. We need sticter teacher, schools and effective punishments for kids like we had in the 70s when I was a kid. You wouldnt dare inslt or be rude to authritive figures. I dont blame kids anymore. Just look at the gordon ramsey style language he uses. And that new Grand Auto theft game. Youngsters are so conflicted about what society says is acceptable. They watch and play these games and it trains their minds to be aggressors in society. They are all being brainwashed if you ask me.Its all fantasy living. Why not join the scouts, or the Territorial Army in Grove Park if they need to learn to become men. Cos this is not what us women think men are. Most men are a shadow of what they could be. They arent taking up community leadership roles. Most are emulating gangters today, which proves how alot of boys are brainwashed. If they want to become heroes and people society respects, start reading, being educated and focusing on great life goals. Unfortunately hoodie thugs wont be online reading thois kind of blog so it will fall on our shoulders to promote good places for them to join and channel their energies.

The boy wasn't carrying a knife. When he smashed the front door down to get back into the shop he smashed a type of plate over the poor boys head and then slashed him around the throat.

With the plate not a knife. Sorry forgot to add.

The only thing I can assume is that they are not certain that they have the right person so don't want to give a description incase of vigilante attacks. Does anyone know why this attack happened? This casual violence is really starting to concern me.

Apparently the boy who killed the younger brother in error has had a long on going truce with the elder brother. But he went out of his way to do this. The ladies in the bakery shut up shop as soon as the problems began and phoned the police. But this boy was so angry he started smashing the front door down then when he got back inside the shop he vandalised the shop also. Then started on the kids in there.

Yes, I mean feud. Truce would have been nice. This story is so distressing, especially as I go to the local shops all the time, am not concentrating. The people working in the shops within the area are all paranoid with fear!!

If only I was in that shop at the time I would of given that scumbag a right slapping he could see the young lads didn't want to fight and it made him worst cause of that!! I moved away from Catford a few years ago cause of this sort of thing and didn't want my young Son on the streets of South London, I lived in Catford all my life and didn't want to move but I was always having a go at these sort of Scumbags outside my house and it would of been them or me so we moved away to a much nicer area in Rochester Kent, I really feel for this poor lad and it's been on my mind since Ive seen it on the news, I really hope the **** that done it gets what coming to him, RIP Jimmy
