A CHARITY which enables disabled people to take part in leisure activities such as angling, is hosting a fundraising fishing match.
Pads Army, which was launched last year, has already raised more than £1,500, which it has used to build two fishing platforms for use by disabled anglers at a fishing lake in Kent.
This year it plans another series of fundraisers, starting with a fishing match at Monks Lake in Staplehurst, Kent, on May 10.
One of its projects for this year is to buy a van to transport equipment to and from events.
Anglers need to be at the lakes by 8am, with pegs or fishing positions drawn at 8.45am.
The cost is £15 plus £1 for the raffle.
To book a peg send cheques, made payable to Pads Army social fund, and send it to Paddy, c/o Pads Army, 1 St Edmund House, Hurst Eastate, Woolwich Road, Abbey Wood, SE2 0AW.
The charity is also looking for sponsors and anyone interested can call 020 8311 8178.
