Man charged with murder
A MAN has appeared in court after being charged with the murder of a man who was attacked in his home.
Ted Shaxted, aged 36 of Wallis Park, Northfleet, died on December 16 from injuries caused when he was attacked on December 2.
Thirty-five-year-old Trevor Lees of London Road, Northfleet, appeared at Maidstone Crown Court on March 31 charged with his murder.
A post-mortem examination revealed that Mr Shaxted died from multiple organ failure which was caused by trauma to the chest.
Lees was remanded in custody until June 2 when he will appear for a case management hearing.
Two other men arrested in connection with the incident remain on police bail pending further inquiries.
