Pensioner punched in face
A PENSIONER was punched in the face by a burglar who forced his way into his home.
The elderly man, in his 70s, was assaulted at his home in Southview Close, Swanley, at around 8pm on Tuesday (Mar25) evening.
The attacker called at the victim's house and punched him in the face on the doorstep before forcing his way inside.
He then searched the living room and took a wallet before driving off in a car thought to be a green or gold Mitsubishi Shogun.
As a result of the attack the man suffered bruising to his face.
West Kent police are appealing for witnesses who saw the incident or a similar vehicle in the area.
Detective Constable Neil Martin said: "Fortunately the elderly gentleman was not too badly hurt but he was very shaken by what happened to him.
"We would very much like to find the person responsible for committing this unpleasant crime."
Witnesses can contact police on 01732 379217.
