McDonald's toilet awarded five stars
 |
| Staff celebrate their success |
A MCDONALD'S restaurant has cleaned up at the annual national Loo of the Year Awards.
Dartford's Spital Street restaurant fought off competition from thousands of other loo-sing toilets to become one of only 25 British restaurants to be awarded five stars for its conveniences.
Entrants were judged on a wide range of criteria, including signage, décor, fixtures and fittings, air quality and cleanliness.
Restaurant franchisee Paul Shaw said: "My team and I are over the moon about winning this award. We believe that everyone deserves clean, safe and well-appointed toilet facilities.
"We ensure that these high standards are across the board, catering for everyone including disabled visitors and parents with small children."

Thank goodness McDonald's recognise the importance of hygiene in their toilets, perhaps after reading the comments regarding the condition of the tiolets in the PRUH, said hospital could take notice and follow suit!
