PRIMARY school children will be learning about safe bus travel following the launch of a new education pack.

Bus company Arriva has launched the Getting to School pack, which will help teachers at Key Stage 2 to provide lessons for their pupils about bus travel.

The pack includes a range of activities covering mathematics, English and geography.

Arriva has also created a website at arrivaschools.co.uk where teachers can download free copies of the pack for use in their school.

Richard Lewis, marketing manager of Arriva Southern Counties, said: "We believe the Getting to School education pack will be an invaluable resource to teachers, helping to communicate important messages to children about using buses safely."

Arriva operates 17 bus routes in Dartford and 16 in Gravesend.
