Talents on display at Christmas party
DYSLEXIC children and adults are to demonstrate their talents on stage for the festive season.
The Dyslexia Association of Bromley, Bexley, Greenwich and Lewisham is holding its Christmas party to showcase dyslexic skills.
Members' work includes music, poetry, fashion design, art, photography and yoga demonstrations.
The event will be held at Ripley Arts Centre, Sundridge Avenue, Bromley, between 4pm and 7pm on December 8.
The mayors of Bromley, Swanley, Greenwich and Dartford and the deputy mayor of Bexley will be attending the party.
There will be refreshments and a raffle, with prizes including a signed Charlton football, a signed drawing from architect Sir Richard Rogers and signed photos from chef James Martin and rowing legend Sir Steve Redgrave.
There will also be books from celebrity chefs Rick Stein and Jean Christophe Novelli, an M&S token and a meal at the Bromley Court Hotel up for grabs.
Tickets must be booked in advance and cost £3 or £2.50 for association members. Performers and under-16s go free.
