AN MP is calling for reduced crossing tolls for Dartford residents.
Dartford MP Dr Howard Stoate presented his Fair Toll for Dartford campaign to transport minister Stephen Ladyman at the House of Commons.
The campaign calls for the Department for Transport to give residents a 90 per cent discount on the Dartford Crossing tolls.
Dr Stoate presented the campaign on March 8, the day before the Department for Transport's consultation on the toll changes came to an end.
There have been more than 1,000 responses from residents in support of his campaign since its launch in February.
Dr Stoate said: "The response I've received from residents so far has been incredible, and I'm grateful to everyone who has taken the trouble to write to me in support of the campaign."
