THE borough's beauty queen has beaten 19 other girls to win a carnival year's final honour.
Miss Bromley Louise Hadley won first prize in the National Carnival Guild's Essex region competition for visiting carnival courts.
The 18-year-old former Hayes School pupil was judged on dress, poise and personality.
She was also asked about her wish to help people with special needs at the event in Wickford, Essex.
The West Wickham resident went to the event with her reserve princess Emily Groves, 16, from Biggin Hill.
Miss Bromley's chaperone Lynne Noble said: "This is the first time we have entered Miss Bromley in this competition and I am so proud of Louise for winning.
"She has been a superb ambassador for Bromley throughout her carnival year."
