Kilmorie School's gardens unveiled
CHILDREN had a blooming good time at the opening of their school's new garden.
Mayor of Lewisham Sir Steve Bullock was at Kilmorie School in Forest Hill to cut a ribbon and officially unveil the facility.
The garden is just the latest part of the school's work on gardening which has seen them claim a Lewisham in Bloom prize and funding from the Mayor's Fund for their grounds.
Staff also hold regular family gardening Saturdays and work with Sydenham School on horticultural projects.
On the opening day, visitors were entertained by a choir of schoolchildren along with the school's bands.
Vice chairwoman of governors Sally Kelly said: "The garden project has been headed up by a parent - Eva Lee who has worked tirelessly with the school, children and parents to make it happen."
