DVD seller left in coma after Downham struggle
A DVD seller was left in a coma after she argued with a potential customer in Downham.
The incident happened on April 5 between 12.45pm and 1.15pm when the 43-year-old oriental woman offered to sell a DVD to a passer-by.
Police say the man claimed he had no money and she got into his car to drive to a cashpoint.
During the journey, a disagreement broke out, and she jumped out at Moorside Road, leading to a struggle resulting in her hitting her head on the ground.
She was taken to hospital by ambulance and remains in a critical but stable condition.
The man is described as in his 20s, black, around 6ft tall, of athletic build, wearing a dark grey tracksuit.
A 23-year-old was arrested and later released on bail.
