A YOUNG woman has died after falling from a 17th floor window in Woolwich this morning (April 10).
The woman, believed to be 18, fell from a bedroom window on the flat in Mulgrave Road at around 9.30am shortly after a police entered to carry out an arrest inquiry.
A man was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and is in custody at a south London police station.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. She has yet to be formally identified and a post mortem examination will be scheduled in due course, police said.
The Metropolitan Police’s Directorate of Professional Standards is investigating and the Independent Police Complaints Commission has been informed.
