A 25-YEAR-OLD man who was shot by police in Forest Hill has been refused bail.

George Asare of Elsinore Road, Forest Hill appeared at Croydon Magistrates’ Court today charged with attempted GBH with intent and affray.

He is due to next appear at Croydon Crown Court on May 28.

Asare was shot at five times by police on February 19 who also used tasers on him in Stanstead Road.

The incident is currently being investigated by the IPCC.
