A TEENAGER who was murdered in Brixton has been named as Kwame Ofosu-Asare from Catford.

The 17-year-old was stabbed in Adelaide Close, Brixton, at about 5.50pm on Friday (March 2).

He was being taken to hospital by ambulance when he died.

A post-mortem examination took place at Greenwich mortuary today and gave the cause of death as multiple stab wounds.

Officers believe Kwame – a sixth form student – was with a friend on their way to his friend’s relative’s house in Brixton when they were chased by two young men and assaulted.

Kwame’s friend was not injured.

The suspects are said to be two black men.

Investigating officer Detective Chief Inspector John McFarlane said: “Kwame was an innocent young man enjoying himself on a Friday afternoon when he was pursued and attacked by two knifemen.
