Lewisham drug dealer Paul Thompson has been jailed for four years

A DRUG DEALER has been jailed for four years after a search of his house uncovered drugs worth £22,000.

Paul Thompson, aged 39, of Malyons Road, Lewisham was sentenced at Woolwich Crown Court on Monday.

He received four years imprisonment for possession with intent to supply a quarter of a kilo of cocaine, and a further two years for possession with intent to supply two kilos of skunk cannabis.

Thompson pleaded guilty to both offences and his sentences are to run concurrently.

On December 8 last year, officers from the Met’s Operation Trilogy executed a search warrant at Thompson’s home after receiving intelligence he was dealing and supplying drugs.

Inside they found 240g of cocaine hydrochloride, as well as various mixing agents used to cut the Class A drug.

Scales and a pestle and mortar containing cocaine, which showed the preparation of drugs at the address, were also discovered.

In addition, police found two kilos of cannabis and around £3,000 in cash.

The search also resulted in the seizure of a number of imitation firearms – no charges were brought in relation to this.

Operation Trilogy’s Detective Constable Chris Lewis said: “The sentence Thompson has received reflects the serious nature of the crimes committed, and should serve as a warning to others that the Operation Trilogy Unit in Lewisham will relentlessly pursue anyone involved in organised criminality in our borough.”
