The War of the Flowers is continuing in Hither Green as people keep removing floral tributes to the dead burglar.

Henry Vincent died after he was stabbed by 78-year-old Richard Osborn-Brooks on April 4 as he tried to burgle his home.

The family of the 37-year-old Vincent have been repeatedly trying to put up floral tributes at the site of his death, but neighbours and campaigners keep pulling them down.

This video shows a man in a beanie, who would not give his name, who said he was “taking these s*** flowers down” yesterday (April 10) and that they “need burning”.

Today the battle to keep the tributes away continued as the flowers have been taken up and promptly torn down no less than four times.

An angry local campaigner, Iain Gordon, who said he was from the Fair Society group, pulled down the flowers today laid by the family of Vincent.

He said: “These people are scumbags, scumbags, scumbags.

"If you don't know why I pulled the flowers down then you aren't a human being.

"Would you go around allowing someone to stab your parents?

"Would you allow someone to come round with a screwdriver? And then be considered human beings?"

The flower shrine was originally laid by Vincent's family and friends on Monday and includes hand-written cards from his children and aunt.

One read: "To my daddy, no words can describe the pain and heartache we are going through.

"These people won't put us down. We love you dad. We miss you so much."
