An appeal has raised over £3,000 for a charity who had their beehives attacked by vandals.
Bees were drowned with water and hives were smashed between July 1 and July 8 at the Wild Cat Wilderness off Riverview Park, Catford.
An appeal was started by the Rushey Green Time Bank, who own the Wild Cat Wilderness, to raise money to replace the dead bees and put in place a security system to protect the hives from future attacks.
The original target was £2,500 but this figure has already reached the £3,000 mark. The campaign has 39 days to go.
A spokesperson for the group said on Twitter: " We are over the £3k for our #bee appeal! Thanks everyone for your generosity & kind words of support & encouragement."
