Update: Trains are no longer being affected by the disruption according to National Rail.
A broken down train near West Croydon this morning (Thursday 15) has meant that no trains will run between Sydenham and West Croydon.
National Rail expect this issue to continue until 10.45am.
National Rail has also given advice for Southern Rail customers.
"Trains may be terminated short of their destinations or diverted to Sutton via an alternative route," a message said.
"Delays of up to 30 minutes can be expected to journeys.
"Tickets will be accepted on local bus services between Croydon and Sutton and on Tramlink between Mitcham Junction and Croydon."
