A man was arrested on suspicion of terrorism offences when he arrived at Heathrow airport from Turkey.
Officers from the Met's Counter Terrorism Command arrested the 30-year-old man when he stepped off the flight from Istanbul on Thursday, May 4, on suspicion of preparing for terrorist acts and terrorist training.

The suspect was taken to a south London police station where he is being detained under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act. His home in east London is being searched.
