Police are appealing for information after a woman was sexually assaulted in Lewisham.

The victim was apprached while walking in Lee High Road and initially thought the man wanted to speak to her but as he drew closer he grabbed her and sexually assaulted her.

The victim pushed the man away and the man continued walking down Lee High Road into Brandram Road.

The incident happened around 4.30pm on Monday, September 12.

The suspect is described as a white male with olive coloured skin, aged in his early 20s and is around 5ft 6in tall.

He has wavy brown hair that was gelled back and light stubble on his face.

The man was wearing a light grey matching tracksuit with motif on the left hip and was wearing a dark blue rucksack on both shoulders.

Officers from Lewisham CID are investigating.
