A severe weather warning for rain has been issued as south-east London and north Kent is hit by torrential downpours, thunder and flash floods.
The Met office said there could be 'exceptionally large amounts of rain within a few hours' and potentially 'frequent lightning and hail'.
The 'very severe weather conditions' could distrupt transport and lead to the flooding of properties and businesses.
It is estimated that it could rain up to 100mm in just three to four hours.
