A man was arrested in Bell Green this morning (August 18) after allegedly assaulting someone with a hammer in an argument over loud music.
Lewisham Police were called to Perry Hill at 6.30am to reports of a confrontation involving a group of men.
One of the group was said to be armed with a hammer and had allegedly assaulted another man, who had a small cut on his back.
The argument is thought to have been started when the man with the hammer was asked to turn down the music in his car.
When police arrived, the male that had been armed with the hammer was being detained by one of the other people involved.
The man was arrested for ABH and the hammer was seized as evidence.
Several witnesses are helping the police with enquiries.
