A restaurant in Honor Oak Park has been ransacked and the main window was smashed.

Police were called at 8.36am on Monday to reports of a burglary at Donde tapas restaurant.

The premises was left locked and secured at 4pm on Sunday evening and staff discovered the damage on Monday at 6am.

No property was found to have been taken.

The incident is being treated as a burglary, not a hate crime as has been speculated on social media.
