France is currently in the grip of nationwide strikes after the government tried to introduce tougher labour law reforms.

The country's oil refineries, nuclear power stations and public transport have been targeted after it's biggest union CGT joined the protests.

The BBC reported that riot police have battled protesters in Paris and other cities, making 77 arrests with 15 officers injured and cars and shops vandalised.
