The Lewisham mall that was once honoured with the title of Britain's worst shopping centre has been given the green light for a revamp.
And four big green letters might be on their way too, as one of the biggest parts of the Lee Green development plan is to build an ASDA superstore at Leegate shopping centre.
Lewisham Council approved St Modwen's development plans, which include a conditional contract for the supermarket giant to occupy the retail element of the development.

The plans also include 229 homes and a pedestrian and cycle route along Carston Close, which will connect Burnt Ash Road to Leyland Road.
St Modwen also plan to build a community centre, a new pub and a gym.
Killian Morris, St Modwen's senior development manager, said: "The regeneration of Leegate will put the heart back into the area, acting as a catalyst for further renewal in this part of Lewisham."
