An e-fit image has been released of a suspect following linked sexual assaults and a robbery on women in the Blackheath area.

Lone women were targeted late at night or early in the morning between October 2015 and Febuary this year. 

A 22-year-old woman was approached by a man in Foxes Dale on October 5 2015, around 1.40am.

He followed her and then sexually assaulted her. 

A 19-year-old woman was assaulted by a man who grabbed her leg and tried to push her in the bushes at Blackheath Park near St Michael and All Angels Church.

A 20-year-old was assaulted in the foot tunnel at the Sun in the Sands roundabout in Shooters Hill Road on October 11 2015 around 3.00am when a man approached her, grabbed her and sexually assaulted her.

She managed to break free and run away.

A fourth woman was attacked on February 6 this year, shortly after midnight, in Pond Road.

A 30-year-old woman was approached by a man who tried to engage her in conversation who then grabbed her, pushed her into a bush and hit her in the face.

He then tried to steal her handbag.

The suspect is described as a dark skinned man, between 5ft 8in and 6ft tall.

He had close cropped hair or short brown hair and victims have described him as being between 30 and 40 years old.

In the last incident he said his name was 'Jamil' and he sometimes wears a puffa-style jacket.

Detective Inspector Andy Daws, of Plumstead CID, said: "We are keen to trace this man. I would urge anyone who may know something or may have been a victim of him to contact us as soon as possible - any information may prove vital."
