A man is being hauled before the courts after he allegedly set his dog on his partner in New Cross.
Police were called out to a disturbance in Shardeloes Road last Sunday (January 24).
Upon arrival they discovered a 33-year-old man had reportedly set his pet dog, a red nosed pitbull, on his partner.
The dog was seized and taken to kennels.

The man was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, being a person in charge of a dog dangerously out of control causing injury, and duty of a person responsible for an animal to ensure welfare.
The man will appear before Woolwich Crown Court on February 23.
