A 22-year-old man has appeared in court after an alleged ammonia attack on pub-goers in Downham.
Thomas Mongan, of Moorside Road, Downham, has been charged with one count of GBH, three counts of ABH, one count of possessing an offensive weapon and one count of affray.
Police were called to the Downham Tavern in Downham Way at 7.10pm on Saturday, January 23 after a man sprayed a noxious substance, believed to be ammonia, at people inside.
Another man, aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital for treatment but is not believed to have been seriously injured.
Mongan appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court via video link from a police station yesterday (January 25).
