Lewisham Police have been using social media to share what officers have been up to during the night shift yesterday, including a call to a 13-year-old "abusing her parents because she was not allowed ice cream".
As well as the stroppy teen, officers in the borough's patrol team E dealt with a man threatening violence outside a pub and someone who set their dog upon a woman.
Just before midnight Lewisham MPS tweeted: "Received a call from an A&E to check on a patient who walked out of the dept. Not a job for the police, I'm afraid.
"We have also been called to a 13 year old girl abusing her parents because she was not allowed ice cream...! Not a police matter!"
Lewisham MPS confirmed that the dog was taken to safety in the police station kennels and the man, who decided not to cooperate with officers, was detained after being pepper-sprayed.
So Inspector James used his CS spray in order to safely effect the arrest..... The suspect is now crying... ^64
