Southeastern faces delays and cancellations as commuters’ battle to get to work in rush hour due to signalling problems.

Due to a fault at London Bridge delays are expected on the train network until at least 9am today (January 6).

MORE TOP STORIES A track failure and signalling problems is wreaking havoc on the Charing Cross line, with trains having to be ‘talked’ past the signal.

Some services are being diverted.

The London Underground is accepting Southeastern passengers between all London terminals.

The 7.40am Victoria to Orpington train, calling at Sydenham hill, Shortlands and Petts Wood, has been cancelled due to an ‘operating incident’.

The 8.26am service in the opposite direction has also been cancelled for the same reason.

The 8am Crayford to Charing Cross, which calls at Sidcup, Lee and Hither Green, has also been cancelled but due to signalling problems.

The 8.10 Hayes Kent to Charing Cross, which calls at Lower Sydenham, Catford Bridge and Lewisham, will now start at New Beckenham.

This train will no longer call at Hayes Kent, West Wickham, Eden Park, Elmers End and Clock House, due to signalling problems.

The 8.19 service in the opposite direction will now start from London Victoria, an additional stop.

This train will no longer call at London Charing Cross and London Waterloo East, also due to the issues with the signals.

There have been delays across south east London and north Kent since 6.22am.
