Lewisham station was evacuated last night after a ‘suspect vehicle’ sparked security fears.
Southeastern posted on Twitter: “Lewisham station is currently closed to public whilst police deal with a suspect vehicle at the station.”
The number of security scares has spiked rapidly in the past week following the terror attacks in Paris which killed at least 130 people.
Over the past seven days police have dealt with reports of suspicious packages in Royal Hill Greenwich, atthe south side Woolwich ferry car park and aboard a Southeastern train heading to Gravesend.
