A man, in his 30s, is in a critical condition after falling between the train and the platform at Lewisham last night (November 19).

Southeastern trains were delayed from 11.45am until 1.30am this morning (November 20) as emergency services released the man.

He was treated at the station by London Ambulance Service (LAS) paramedics for serious injuries to his legs, before being taken to a local hospital, where he currently remains in a critical condition.

British Transport Police (BTP) were also called to the scene.

A BTP spokesman said: "“The incident is being treated as non-suspicious.”

A spokesman for Southeastern said: "It was not a fatality.

"The person was injured and taken to hospital.

"The train was taken out of service."

Met Police have confirmed they recieved 55 calls reporting the incident.
